I was reading through Matthew Lesko's Free Money For Entrepreneurs, when I read some very interesting facts about women entrepreneurs. "75% of new businesses started by women succeed, compared to only 25% of those started by men."Why exactly is this? Perhaps it is due to risk tolerance or diferences in thought processes. I am typically not one to make sweeping generalizations about groups of people, but I do not think it is too stereotypical to say that most women tend to be more cautious when taking on risk than their male counterparts.
From my experience and women that I know, women tend to put more
thought into risky ventures, especially when money is on the line, examining all angles before pursuing an option. I do find that more and more women these days are in charge of family finances, which could be another indicator that my theory is correct.

Men can be very good leaders and capable of running succesful businesses. I no more consider my womanhood to be a badge of honor than a sign of weakness. It does however give me confidence that the odds are on my side.
It is food for thought. Maybe men should consider bringing on a female partner when starting a venture. The diversity it brings to planning can be very healthy for any company.

i believe women entrepreneurs do put more effort and research into building a company. They put their everything into it since it is their little baby and want it to succeed.
